Fram, I brought my changes back, as they are different churches, and I wrote about it here. Catholic church is not called St Gregory the Illuminator. Koavf, please rename it back. Խմբագրող (talk) 16:15, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- @Fram: what is going on here? ―Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 16:55, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- the other editor is hijacking an article about a cathedral in Athens to write about a completely different church. The sources are about the Gregory church in Athens, not the Theresa one elsewhere. Fram (talk) 17:00, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- You are not right. St Gregory the Illuminator is not a Catholic church. Find About it here:
- Armenian Catholic Church (only one building, st Theresa [1], also in Google maps [2])
- Armenian prelacy of Greece, apostolic church, under Holy See of Cilicia in Lebanon, (headquarters in st Gregory the illuminator church [3], also in Google maps [4]). Armenian Prelacy owns all the churches in materical Greece.
- Armenian diocese of Greece, under Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in Armenia (only one building, Dormition of the Virgin Armenian Orthodox Church [5], also in Google maps [6]).Խմբագրող (talk) 17:25, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- in your point 2, source, open menu, choose Athens, metropolis: you get Gregory... [7] Fram (talk) 18:05, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes, and point 2 is not a Catholic Church. It exists of course, but it is an Apostolic cathedral. 2A00:CC47:464F:AD01:0:0:0:EF44 (talk) 04:24, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So, we have two Armenian churches in Athens named St Gregory, and another Armenian church, not in Athens, named St. Theresa. What we certainly shouldn't do is change a long-standing article about a St Gregory church in Athens, in an article on a St Theresa church outside of Athens. What we should do is make sure about which church the article was originally created, and then restore the article to a version about that church only. And it is obvious that it was about the Armenian Catholic one in the Rene Pio street[8], just like the current version of the article. So I see no reason to change the current article. If articles about either of the two other churches are needed, then separate new articles should be made. Fram (talk) 08:15, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
