A fact from Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 8 July 2017 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:

Surprised that no article exists on this large Fund. If this duplicates an existing article, ping me or something.E.M.Gregory (talk) 23:33, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
Extreme bias and first link states "The Palestinians defend the funds as vital welfare that compensate for an unfair military-run justice system, provide income for families who have lost their primary breadwinners and enable released prisoners to reintegrate into society." no mention of motive needed for the stipends, therefore the first thing that is read on the page is not mentioned in the article linked tied to it, also that the stipends are due to political violence specifically, is to put undue cause to the stipends dispensation. Even the next sentence states that even ordinary prisoners receive stipends contradicting the first statement. Then it also lacks mention that Israel often holds people for extended period of time without charge in administrative detention, these people also receive stipends. Therefore this article is simply parroting the Israeli government narrative. ((|edit extended-protected|First page to be edited|)) Cleansed one (talk) 06:38, 5 May 2022 (UTC) [1]
Currently the article is very biased and not objective. There is no statement about this from palestinian authorities for example, only links to some specific media. Wikipedia should attempt to find more sources for the claim in particular because Israel claims that the EU funds terrorism, so this is a very delicate topic. 2A02:8388:1641:4700:BE5F:F4FF:FECD:7CB2 (talk) 14:38, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

This starts with saying "which pays monthly cash stipends to the families of Palestinians killed, injured, or imprisoned while carrying out politically motivated violence against Israel." No, it pays stipends to Palestinians who have been killed injured or imprisoned by Israel. Not all of them were attacking Israel.
Three sentences later, this article claims that the fund paid out 303 M USD in 2016. The reference it gives says it paid out 170M USD. Not only that, but this reference is wrong: according to the WaPo fact checker it was much less. Mcdruid (talk) 20:28, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
Antisemitic terrorism would be more accurate. Helpfulguy101 (talk) 16:04, 26 February 2023 (UTC)

Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund → Palestinian martyr payments – Propose moving to Palestinian martyr payments. This article covers payments by both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, and covers the "Martyrs Fund" to families and a separate fund to prisoners. Suggest moving to this title to reflect the overarching coverage of this article. Longhornsg (talk) 23:13, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
