We need an estimate of how many Madhesi people there are, and what proportion of Nepali population is Madhesi. This needs to go right in the lead.
The culture/demographics section also needs to be reformatted to depict the languages and religions using charts. The raw numbers are quite counter-productive. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 20:34, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Re pop figures : did you check whether a new census has been published ? The last one dates 2011, and I assume that censusing is carried out once in 10 years. BhagyaMani (talk) 21:31, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have no idea. I am just reviewing the page after a long time. I think it is the relative proportions that matter, and they don't change much from one census to the next. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 15:02, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As Familiar with the topic on our neighbouring country Nepal related to Madhesi people article that needs additional extensions with realiable sources with facts, Additional works are needed to improve the topic. This topic only covers about people marrying to Madhesis who are people of Indian ancestry. The natives of Madhesh Province all of whose demonyms are Madhesis are left out. Besides, the minority indigenous section of Madhesis population are also mistoken as Indians. Please begin with scientific improvement of this articles and make definitions more collingual with their Nepali identity. Thank You Sikkimese (talk) 12:38, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
