It would be good to have some more background by what measure, i.e. by tonnage produced/time, by employees, by slipways, by ships produced/time, by mere square footage? There are numerous measures by which someone could claim to be the biggest shipyard. The list also seems a bit western hemisphere centric in the old days. How about Zheng He's shipyard or some of the Arabian shipyards in previous years?
