In the status of Cyprus, change "Fictional" status to "Illegal" as possession of fictional pornography is illegal.
In Argentina, fictional child pornography is really alegal, you can still draw it. 2800:2145:B400:79:8D54:7F35:380C:99B6 (talk) 22:36, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
I'm tagging the debate section as it does not seem to represent the debate but rather further advance the arguments for laws against child pornography. For example every argument for its legality contains a counter argument against it right after it but not the opposite. Further there's no mention of prohibiting virtual child pornography and that it has been debated even by academics in legislatures as being nonsensical. There is no mention of research that possession and usage does not lead to an increase in sexual abuse or that the research pointing to such is either not very substantial and lacking or in some cases non-existent. Laws that allow adolescents to engage in sexual activities but not in pornography and hence also cause issues with sexting have also increasingly been under fire. I noticed that the UK Fictional cell says 'Illegal' but the summary says 'pseudo-photograph', which is defined in the law as 'appears to be a photograph'. I think 'Legal; not realistic' would be more accurate here. 2A02:AB88:248D:1C00:A310:3F9C:4C73:E41B (talk) 14:18, 14 December 2023 (UTC)

More details:
The current article mentions that the law is ambiguous, which just changed recently. An executive letter (Official Correspondence No. 1130014287 from the Ministry of Health and Welfare[1]) published on 14th of May, 2024 following a meeting between the legislative, judicial, and general public clarified that the ambiguous portion of the "Child and Youth Sexual Exploitation Prevention Act" did not intend to limit freedom of expression but rather protect real children, thus the document interprets and limits the law from affecting fictional art (with the exceptions mentioned above). Also, source [150] is a dead link, though it is no longer needed after this change is applied. The same set of changes has been applied to the Chinese version of this page.
