this is not my great grandfather's picture, according to his daughter
The source (Air Force Museum) identifies the subject as John Houlton. Furthermore, there is a strong resemblance to other images of Houlton. Zawed (talk) 21:09, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As per above, the picture is identifed as John Houlton by the RNZAF museum. However, I have replaced the image with another one identified as John Houlton. Zawed (talk) 09:37, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
; the two Ju 52 transport aircraft that he claimed as damaged on 28 November 1943 are believed to have crashed into the sea does Shores state if German records confirm this?
Shores doesn't mention any further rank after promotion. It isn't explicit in Shores which is why I phrased it the way I do in the article, but I think he retired in 1955. Zawed (talk) 10:38, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
