Shouldn't be merged, because some of this has nothing to do with Cumans as an ethnic group, but it is possible that some of the material here should be refactored to Cumans. -- Jmabel | Talk05:13, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Dasht-i Qipchaq is directed to Cumania. But in the text, Kipchaks and Cumans are differentiated and they have separate articles in Wikipedia. If they really are two different people than, Dasht-i Qipchaq (plains of Kipchack) should not be directed to Cumania (land of Cumans).Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 15:22, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
A spring is a natural source of water coming from an outcrop of rock; a well is a man-made structure for obtaining water from underground. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.111.29.1 (talk) 04:19, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This page should deal with the geographic region "Cumania". The confederation, that is a different concept from the region, should be dealt with in a separate article (Cuman–Kipchak confederation). Many other languages' Wiki pages that link Cumania deal with only the region (or grassland). For example, Chinese wiki has another article dealing with the Confederation (zh:庫曼汗國). The confederation should not be included in this page.--ABCEdit (talk) 12:16, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose Is there a purely geographical definition of Cumania, independent of a Cuman people or polity, or its legacy? Does it exist today? I thought it was just an alternate name for the country/federation of Cumans and its successor(s). The definition or definitions in this article is already confusing enough: two articles will be more so, unless they represent well defined and completely independent subjects, and not just two overlapping aspects. —MichaelZ.19:45, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
