How many Chankiri Trees are there in Cambodia? Just the one located in the Killing Fields in Phnom Penh? Did every Killing Field have a Chankiri Tree or in the other Cambodian Killing Fields, the children were killed in a different way?--93.43.183.200 (talk) 09:05, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
Chankiri trees can be found all around Cambodia, it is not exclusive to the Killing Fields or other execution fields during the Khmer Rouge. It is merely a coincidence that the tree was used in the Killing Fields to kill children. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.189.137.101 (talk) 09:24, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: procedural close. The requested target is the location of another article, and there is no request to move that article. Merges and merge discussions are not handled through the requested moves process (see WP:RMNOT), which is about determining the title of a page rather than about determining content. Note that edit histories are not merged when merging articles, although attribution is needed. Consider using WP:PAM or an RFC to handle this discussion. Dekimasuよ! 04:44, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
Chankiri Tree → Samanea saman – A discussion was started on Talk:Samanea saman#Merge Discussion in 2020, but it appears that it wasn't formally opened or closed, and there apparently was opposition to the merge. The edit history remains to be merged as well. Pinging @Paul Carpenter, Leo Breman, and Kingdon:, who first supported the move, as well as @ZackZaptastic:, who opposed it. Merge - the Chankiri Tree article refers to all trees on the species Samanea saman, and not a specific tree. awkwafaba (📥) 14:17, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
Subject seems to meet WP:GNG, and the section in Samanea saman appears to be both too specific and too short to full convey the proper information of the article.--NoonIcarus (talk) 03:08, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
