This page should be moved to U.S. 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment to conform to other units in Wikipedia. WikiDon 02:54, 28 August 2005 (UTC)
Uh hello? We have them listed for overlord and marketgarden, but the bulge? I'm going to add it, anyone who sees its lacking in anything please add. --LtWinters 23:54, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Why does it say stuff like Soebel was the initial officer in charge and Speirs the last ? It makes it sound like the 506th ceased to be after WW2. I think whoever wrote that part is confusing fiction (Band of Brothers) with reality. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.105.148.84 (talk) 14:21, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Should there be a separate page for Sgt. Leslie Halasz Sabo, who was killed during the Vietnam War and is now being considered for the Medal of Honor? There already is a separate page for GWOT hero Dakota Meyer, who is "nominated" for the Medal of Honor, although I'm not certain what that means. Congressman Jason Altmire reported last year that Sabo's MOH recommendation is awaiting final approval from President Barack Obama, which indicate that Sabo is closer to the award than Meyer and that Sabo meets Wikipedia's notability requirements. Sabo's story has been reported in at least three newspapers (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Ellwood City Ledger and New Castle News) that have been cited by Wikipedia as sources, which indicates that it meets Wikipedia's credibility standard. (Disclosure: My name is Eric Poole. I wrote the Ellwood City Ledger stories and self-published Sabo's biography, Forgotten Honor, with the participation of Sabo's family members and his Army comrades.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ESP0704 (talk • contribs) 16:38, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
"The demolition section of Regimental Headquarters Company inspired the book and subsequent film, The Dirty Dozen."
Umm.. What? What does this have to do with the subject?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.192.19.110 (talk • contribs)
Is this a typo? Shouldn't that be 506AIR? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hitesh0630 (talk • contribs) 22:47, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
The 506th Parachute Infantry has a squadron in Enlisted, as shown by the eagle with the dice, and the name 70.172.125.204 (talk) 07:12, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
