No^ - careful calculation shows that it is theoretically possible for both Namibia and the UAE to finish above Oman if they win all [or even most of] their remaining matches. It is complicated by the fact that some of those matches could well be between Namibia and the UAE, where both teams could not rely on gaining maximum points - but they might both still finish above Oman - [unlikely, of course]. Not all outstanding matches in League 2 have been scheduled?...
... but Scotland has certainly qualified, because there is no way they can finish lower than third. --DLMcN (talk) 06:42, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
At this point, Oman should be though? The UAE has 10 games left so even if they win all of them, they will be at 36 points
and if Nepal wins all the games they will be at 42 points.
Do we really need a separate page/article for warm-up matches? I feel there will be very handful of this and can be included in the main page only.mitratanmoy17:05, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We don't need them AT ALL. The page is 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, not 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier and related matches - they aren't part of the tournament and do not affect standings/qualifications in any way - they are just friendly preparation. 165.12.252.109 (talk) 00:10, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As per the deletion discussion, these are definitely not needed in two places. The seperate article is not needed, and I would argue they are barely needed on the main page either. The hidden tag doesn't appear to work well when viewing on the mobile app. Bs1jac (talk) 19:12, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
They have announced a preliminary squad of 22, not a final squad of 15: [1]. Until the final squad is confirmed, please stop adding the preliminary squad, which is not correct. Manish kafle for your info. Joseph2302 (talk) 12:51, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Is this section really necessary for an encyclopedia? Does which streaming service it will be shown on have any interest to an encyclopedic entry? Bs1jac (talk) 21:33, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the streaming bit (far too ephemeral) - but broadcasting lists are fairly common across global tournaments. In the extreme (eg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_FIFA_World_Cup_broadcasting_rights) some have whole articles listing the broadcasters. It is a measure of the relevance of a tournament on a global scale to show how far and wide it is shown - the matches have cultural significance beyond the stadiums they are held in.110.33.28.251 (talk) 11:52, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is possible source of confusion (it is confusing, just watch the broadcast or read the online commentary) over the standings in the Super Six stage with more matches counting than are shown. Propose adding the following section (or similar) between the table and fixture list (the descriptions contain all the information needed to recreate the standings including NRR).
I feel like the text above the super six is sufficient enough to be able to recreate the super six points table if needed. The information in the table is available if you scroll up. Sputink (talk) 15:17, 27 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
