Ekant, these are my reasons for reverting the edit:

  1. Going by the literal meaning of 'seal' we must specify what the govt is sealing.
  2. The businesses are being conducted on illegal premises but are themselves not illegal.
  3. You say that

The allegation are being put forward that the government is not taking any initiative to stop the drive so as to promote malls which have few takers and thereby its lack of action to save the traders (the common man) from the controversial ruling of the supreme court of India. Who is putting these allegations? You must supply the source before adding this.

  1. You say:

The fact that the Goverment has been collecting commercial taxes all these years (house tax, electricity charges are commercial) has been completed ignored by the court. I agree with you but whether the court has indeed ignored it or plans to pursue it is a matter of opinion. If you have any source cite it and put this sentence back.

  1. "The fate of millions"???? Only about 40000 shops are being sealed & even for them the court has said that something will be done for them. But first obey what you said in your affidavit.
  2. The fact that the traders would shut down their business,is clearly in their affidavit. Please see: [1]
  3. The whole timeline is in present tense and so there is no reason to change some sentences to past tense. If you really want to then change the tense as past throughout.
  4. The word site indicates that this is the official site of the traders, or the govt which it is not.

  1. I agree with you on first two counts that we have to define wat govt is sealing and 2nd businesses are not illegal but due to supreme court ruling there place of operation have been deemed illegal but you should agree with me that it was govt lethargy which resulted in this chaos (Master plan 2001 expired almost 7 yrs back)
  2. As far as malls issue is concerned these allegations have been aired by the traders on the television.
  3. 40,000 shops are being sealed in first phase as they had given an affidavit which do binds them to shut shop, but the issue here is other shops will not be spared either they will also have to shut down or get sealed that's why millions who will be affected and dont forget the employees.

This article has recently been tagged as requiring cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards.

The article may have been flagged as needing cleanup because it has been suggested that:

  • the article needs formatting, proofreading, or rephrasing in comprehensible English.
  • the article has multiple overlapping problems.
  • the article is very short and might need expanding, removal or merging with a broader article

For a full list of possible problems see Wikipedia:Manual of Style.

As part of the cleanup process, the automated bot PocKleanBot has generated this notice as a focus of cleanup efforts, and also contacted several contributing editors of the article to bring their attention to the problem. You should use this section to discuss possible resolution of the problem and achieve consensus for action. Only when there is a consensus that the article is now cleaned up should you then de-list it by deleting the cleanup tag from the article, this causes the article to drop off the monthly cleanup-needed list page.

removed extraneous text from end of article

[edit]

This is the text that was removed.

Look at the problem of sealing from a comman man's angle. During partition of India in 1947, many families shifted to rehablitation colonies of Delhi. This generation of refugese who were Landlords, shopkeepers, traders, public and private servants almost everybody suffered unrepairable losses. Their next generation is now going through the same process. Traders of Delhi specially in rehablitation colonies like Malviya Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Kalkaji etc. opened these shops to settle themselves having very less opertunities othervise. 21st January 2008 several shops were sealed in Malviya Nagar Electricity office road. Most of the shopkeepers are displaced refugeese from West Pakistan and their next generation is left totaly unemployed now. No where to go almost nothing to do. One of the Shopkeeper fell sick when he came to know that his shop has been sealed. What is shocking and discouraging is some squaters on the street are sitting as it is. They pay no taxes, no V.A.T., have no electricity meters, have no water meters, have not paid for the land they sit on and are the main culprits when it comes to blocking pedestrian's walkway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kitten b (talkcontribs) 01:15, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
