Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
I think that this was my biggest mistake on this page in the past, perhaps violating WP:NOR and assuming that monarchs appoint Deputy Prime Ministers and so discounting those who were not given the title by the monarch. The article now relies upon the reliable sources of Norton and Brazier (using Norton and Bogdanor to argue against Brazier's inclusion of Howe) and, therefore, I have added Attlee to both the table and the timelineTag: Visual edit

Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
Added a source about the monarch not appointing Deputy Prime Ministers and better explained the 'classic argument' against them in the constitutional position section. I updated the history section to remove two unnecessary sentences in the Attlee section and rewrote the sentences about John Prescott onwards, adding sources and removing unnecessary information about when there have not been Deputy Prime Ministers. I also did a minor rewrite of the office and residence sectionTag: Visual edit

Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
Updated the lede, infobox and constitutional position section to make clear that Deputy Prime Minister is a title which the holder is not appointed to by the monarch, as fully supported by sources — only my old (and wrong) Wikipedia edits appeared to dispute this, see the talk page. I also added some detail in the lede about informal deputies and updated the constitutional position section with some new sources (I only removed a very old discussion by Brazier)Tag: Visual edit

Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
I have mainly updated this article to make clear that deputy prime minister is a title not conferred by the monarch. I also added some other updates, all fully referenced. When editing this article in the past, I made some errors which are what I am trying to rectify todayTags: RevertedVisual edit
