These old computers had the capacity to use basically any number of bits (say 48, 56, 64, 96, or 128), although programs didn't implement it, but used the most convenient single (or double) word.

1) Z80 has a multi-level interrupts as well, and more general than in the 8085; 2) Z80 does NOT have built in crystal oscillator; 3) The extra registers made Z80 popular among optimizing asm-programmers.
