Pestyakovsky District (Russian: Пестяковский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,100 square kilometers (420 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a settlement) of Pestyaki.[1] Population: 5,015 (2021 Census);[7] 7,160 (2010 Census);[2] 8,629 (2002 Census);[8] 9,660 (1989 Census).[9] The population of Pestyaki accounts for 61.8% of the district's total population.[2]
