Inzensky District (Russian: И́нзенский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,020.2 square kilometers (780.0 sq mi)[2] Its administrative center is the town of Inza.[1] Population: 33,877 (2010 Census);[3] 40,083 (2002 Census);[8] 59,539 (1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Inza accounts for 55.5% of the district's total population.[3]
