Earlier this year, the Editing team ran a large study of the Reply Tool. The main goal was to find out whether the Reply Tool helped newer editors communicate on wiki. The second goal was to see whether the comments that newer editors made using the tool needed to be reverted more frequently than comments newer editors made with the existing wikitext page editor.
The key results were:
These results give the Editing team confidence that the tool is helpful.
Looking ahead
The team is planning to make the Reply tool available to everyone as an opt-out preference in the coming months. This has already happened at the Arabic, Czech, and Hungarian Wikipedias.
The next step is to resolve a technical challenge. Then, they will deploy the Reply tool first to the Wikipedias that participated in the study. After that, they will deploy it, in stages, to the other Wikipedias and all WMF-hosted wikis.
You can turn on "Discussion tools" in Beta Features now. After you get the Reply tool, you can change your preferences at any time in Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing-discussion.

I would like to become an administrator here as there is nobody to help. --Caro de Segeda (talk) 17:45, 23 Septemba 2021 (UTC)

Well, the rights are granted to you. You're free to delete some mess from the Wikipedia. Category:Candidates for speedy deletion. Greetings, --Wolverène (talk) 05:15, 11 Oktoba 2021 (UTC)
Halo evriwan. I am Wolverène, I used to be a test administrator of the Bislama Wikipedia in 2017-2018, and now I'm turning back for good (at least for long) and would like to continue the administrator experience on the Bislama Wikipedia. I'm appearing regularly in the latest time, keeping an eye on the recent changes, and without other regular contributors here and with an increasing vandalism it's become a challenge. I would like to become an administrator to fight the vandalism effectively, including deletion of a nonsense, blocking vandals and performing semi-protections.
I don't speak Bislama, maybe just in a sub-basic level, I'm able to understand it though, usually using dictionaries and reference materials. I made the contribution of ~1,150 edits (as of today).
See also my SUL info to make sure that the community can trust in me. Thanks in advance, --Wolverène (talk) 12:39, 20 Oktoba 2021 (UTC)

The New topic tool helps editors create new ==Sections== on discussion pages. New editors are more successful with this new tool. You can read the report. Soon, the Editing team will offer this to all editors at the 20 Wikipedias that participated in the test. You will be able to turn it off at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing-discussion.

Halo evriwan. I was a test administrator of the Bislama Wikipedia in 2017-2018 and from 2021 to April 2022, resp. my previous test adminship ceased just a month ago. I'd like to continue fight vandalism and meaningless content which is still appearing. I think my previous experience of adminship was more or less helpful so it would be nice if I keep having one. Thanks in advance, --Wolverène (talk) 12:39, 20 Oktoba 2021 (UTC)
