Hugh Ramapolo Masekela (4. april 1939–23. januar 2018)[1] var ein sørafrikansk trompetist, flygelhornist, kornettist, komponist og songar. Han er blitt skildra som «faren til sørafrikansk jazz.» Masekela var kjend for jazzkomposisjonane sine og for å skrive kjende anti-apartheid-songar, som «Soweto Blues» og «Bring Him Back Home». Han hadde òg ein hit på den amerikanske poplista i 1968 med ein versjon av «Grazing in the Grass».
