Oh, Motorsport

Not all motorsport is auto racing! Why is the flagship article for Project Motorsport, Auto racing? It's not even a common phrase. Why does motorsport suck?

I didn't come here to take on this much work! But, I have now begun to improve:

I put a lot of effort into removing this term from where it doesn't belong across Wikipedia.

Ford and flags

In an article about FIA rallying, including WRC, there is a good chance Ford should be represented using Great British flag United Kingdom.

The reason for this is manufacturers represent the country of the ASN with whom the car was homologated. It has nothing to do with the ownership structure of the companies involved. When M-sport win in 2023, the British national anthem is played because Ford homologated the car in the UK, it is not because M-Sport are a British company. This is written in the WRC sporting regulations.

The successful Ford cars listed in lists of champions were homologated in Britain by United Kingdom Ford of Britain, particularly their motorsport and performance division based at Boreham in Essex who also ran them in competition

Other cars were homologated in Germany Germany by Ford Europe such as the Taunus, Capri.

There were also some cars homologated by United States Ford USA that went rallying usually in North America. These included Falcons, Mustangs etc.
