I thought a person became a Christian when studying the Bible and learning about the gospel. ???216.245.235.113 (talk) 20:58, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Excellent point. If you weren't an evangelical Christian and were reading this article, you would think Washer was a Buddhist or something else before college, and then became a Christian in college. Washer's parents were Christian, as were most people in his community where he grew up, and Washer attended Christian churches beforehand, but had a born-again experience in college. I clarified the point and added a link to the born-again article in the sentence. Jeffmm1 (talk) 02:52, 11 April 2011 (UTC) Washer has indicated in his sermons that his father was not saved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:A601:9C1:9000:40BE:2801:8EB1:A93E (talk) 05:38, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
I'm not sure, and the article states "Southern Baptist". Are you sure he is not independent? We need to provide a link to support this. Jeffmm1 (talk) 03:55, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
I add the information about teaching predestination because this doctrine shows how God's salvation is understood, a certainly important point of belief. Proofs: "I don't understand election" Paul Washer answers; "The Elect" - a sermon from: Paul Washer ; doctrine-page from heartcry. Nikil44 (talk) 19:57, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
There does not seem to be anything here from independent third-party reliable sources. The policy at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons says: Be very firm about the use of high-quality sources. --Bejnar (talk) 18:31, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
2 whole sentences refer to a Youtube video from a sermon in 2002. Does this really tell us ANYTHING pertinent about who this man is? Does it really need to be here? Can someone please address this? 36.237.176.244 (talk) 06:40, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
