As far as I can make out, Rees was never known publicly as Lionel Rees: all his publications are under the name L. W. B. Rees. Contemporary reports also all seem to record his name as L. W. B. Rees (some examples: [1], [2], [3]). The only place he is referred to as Lionel is in the title of the biography about him. As L. W. B. Rees is clearly the commonest name by which he was referred, can we move the page please? Lionel Rees can become a redirect to L. W. B. Rees. 81.157.194.236 (talk) 08:47, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I should add that my proposal has a practical basis. I came to Wikipedia yesterday to see what was there on L. W. B. Rees, the name by which I know him - nothing came up in the search, so I assumed there wassn't a page on him. Its only when I looked on the List of recipients of the Victoria Cross by name that I saw that there was, indeed, a page on a Lionel Wilmot Brabazon Rees, which had to be him. I only found him because I knew he'd won a VC and did some extra searching here. Others might have given up and gone away. If he was under L. W. B. Rees, the commonest name by which he was and is known, this wouldn't happen. (By the way, he now comes up in the search because yesterday I added 'L. W. B. Rees' to the text and added him to the article on aerial archaeology; before that he was invisible under this search) 81.157.194.236 (talk) 09:28, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
