Members assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group, in Viet Nam, who were jump qualified (P) but not "S" qualified did not wear a unit flash "stripe" but rather a full flash and the green beret. This was S.O.P. for the duration of the unit's assignment during the Viet Nam War. The justification was if you could die serving in 5th Group you could do so wear the full flash. 69.124.226.124 (talk) 02:48, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
The Wikipedia entry for former Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_C._Miller) says he was the commander of 5th Special Forces Group in Iraq and Afghanistan. This list here does not include him as one of the 5th Special Forces Group Commanders. Either his page is misleading or this page is missing his name. 141.156.19.84 (talk) 11:24, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
