The Left Handed Gun
No family is portrayed, and that area was a territory, in the 1870s, and it was not really international in terms of the amnesty or peace.

Standard mags are 15 rounds. This is right out of my copy of "Small Arms of the World" p. 219. Plus I own one!

Ruger SR-Series
Necessary to add about the nature of 17rd vs. 10 rd mags. A magazine which is ordinary in configuration for the design is proper and correct. 10 round reduced ones are certainly not proper or correct. This is indisputable.

The Other Side of Midnight
Not "cheating" since not married. In the film there were no other girls during their romance. In the book possibly. But it's still not cheating. Perhaps extra shagging. But that's not "cheating".

Radio clock
Explained before. Quartz timetpieces, clocks, etc. are at very worst (not average) within 1/2 second/day. It's unreasonable to call that inaccurate. Oftentimes it's closer to 1.8 sec. or less/week.

Radio clock
Quartz watches and clocks alone are quite accurate. Usually not +/- by more than 1-2 sec/week. That's what makes the system so useful as a timepiece.
