Webster is a city in Day County, South Dakota, United States. It is the county seat of that county.[5] The population was 1,728 at the 2020 census.[6]
The town was platted in 1880.[7] It was named for J. B. Webster, a pioneer settler.[8]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.49 square miles (3.86 km2), all land.[9]
