Turon is a city in Reno County, Kansas, United States. In 2020, 309 people lived there.[3]
Turon was created in 1886. It was incorporated as a city in 1905.[4]
In 1887, the Chicago, Kansas and Nebraska Railway built a main line from Herington through Turon to Pratt.[5]
Turon is at 37°48′27″N 98°25′40″W / 37.80750°N 98.42778°W (37.807415, -98.427061). The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.45 square miles (1.17 km2). All of it is land.[2]
Turon has hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. The Köppen Climate Classification system says that Turon has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps.[6]

The 2020 census says that there were 309 people, 128 households, and 76 families living in Turon. Of the households, 79.7% owned their home and 20.3% rented their home.
The median age was 38.5 years. Of the people, 75.1% were White, 1.3% were Native American, 6.5% were from some other race, and 17.2% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 16.8% of the people.[3][7]
The 2010 census says that there were 387 people, 159 households, and 98 families living in Turon.[8]
