Tosu (鳥栖市, Tosu-shi) is a Japanese city in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyūshū.
In 1874, disagreements with the central government of Japan became an armed conflict. This was called the Saga Rebellion (佐賀の乱, Saga no ran).[1] This involved regions of the modern city.
