The sixty-fourth note (also called a hemidemisemiquaver or semidemisemiquaver) is a note with a value of ​¹⁄₆₄ of a whole note which is where it gets its name. It has four flags or beams. In the ${\displaystyle {\frac {4}{4))}$ time signature it has a value of ​¹⁄₁₆ of a beat. It is the shortest common note in musical notation
