Sabrina Ann Lynn Carpenter (born May 11, 1999)[4][5] is an American singer, songwriter and actress, who stars as rebellious Maya Hart, the best friend of Riley Matthews (portrayed by Rowan Blanchard) in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World which debuted on June 27, 2014 .[6] She is signed to Hollywood Records.[6]
Carpenter experienced further success in 2024 with the singles "Espresso" and "Please Please Please", from her upcoming fifth studio album, Short n' Sweet. The first became her first UK number-one hit, while reaching the top five in the US and Canada. The second song became her first US and Canadian number-one song and second UK number-one.[7][8]
