Halsua is a municipality in Central Ostrobothnia, Finland. It had 1,233 people living there in January 2014. The municipalities next to it are Kaustinen, Kokkola, Lestijärvi, Perho and Veteli.

Halsua was established in 1868.

Many swamps cover the municipality's area, up to 60%.
