Hainburg an der Donau is a town in Bruck an der Leitha district in Lower Austria, east of Vienna. In 2022, 6,892 people lived there.[1]
Its town walls are some of the oldest and best-preserved in Europe.[2]
Actually, the name of the city is only Hainburg, the part after it stands for the river Danube, which flows past Hainburg an der Donau.[3]
