Darya Aleksandrovna Dugina (Russian: Дарья Александровна Дугина; 15 December 1992 – 20 August 2022), also known as Daria Platonova (Russian: Дарья Платонова), was a Russian journalist and political activist. She was the daughter of Aleksandr Dugin, a far-right political philosopher. She was known for being a strong supporter of Vladimir Putin.[1]
Dugina was also a supporter of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. She believed that the war crimes against Ukrainian civilians by the Russian army during the invasion were staged, resulting her assassination on August 20, 2022.[2][3]
Dugina was assassinated on 20 August 2022, when her Toyota Land Cruiser car exploded on Mozhayskoye Shosse in the settlement of Bolshiye Vyazyomy outside Moscow around 9:45 p.m. local time. She was 29 years old.[4][5]
Darya Dugina was driving in her far-right father Alexander Dugin's vehicle ... His daughter was a political scientist and journalist who held similar views to her father.
