Blood Sugar Sex Magik is the fifth studio album by Red Hot Chili Peppers . Red Hot Chili Peppers is an American rock band. The album was released by Warner Bros. Records on September 24, 1991. The album was produced by Rick Rubin . It had five singles : "Under the Bridge," "Give It Away," "Suck My Kiss," "Breaking the Girl" and "If You Have to Ask."
The album went to the number three spot on the Billboard 200 music chart .[6] [7] The album made the band very popular around the world. Because of this, John Frusciante left the band in 1992. He did not like being very famous.[8] He joined the band again in 1998. Many people think Blood Sugar Sex Magik helped make alternative rock very popular in the 1990s.[9] [10] [11] [12]
