Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi OAL (26 August 1927 – 24 January 2023) was an Indian architect.[1] His best known designs are IIM Bangalore, IIM Udaipur, NIFT Delhi, Amdavad ni Gufa, CEPT University, and the Aranya Low Cost Housing development in Indore.[2]
In 2018, he became the first Indian architect to receive the Pritzker Prize.[3][4] He was also awarded the Padma Shri.
Doshi died in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 24 January 2023, at the age of 95.[5]
