13 Reasons Why (or TH1RTEEN R3ASONS WHY onscreen) is an American mystery teen drama series. It's based on the novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher and It was adapted by Brian Yorkey for Netflix. The series centers on a high school student (Clay Jensen) and his friend Hannah Baker. Hannah decides to kill herself after suffering a lot at her school. She believed that some individuals are responsible for her suicide, and that everyone of them was a reason of the 13 reasons why. She records some cassette tapes before her suicide. These tapes incuded the thirteen reasons why she ended her life.

In May 2017, The series was renewed for a second season, and it was released on May 18, 2018, along with a second 13 Reasons Why: Beyond the Reasons special.
