Xylophanes aristor is a moth of the Sphingidae family. It is known from Guatemala to Venezuela, Ecuador and probably Colombia.[2]

It is similar to Xylophanes crotonis but distinguishable by the broad grey dorsal stripe on the thorax and abdomen. It is also similar to Xylophanes kiefferi but less robust and the outer edge of the forewing is more convex. The difference with Xylophanes crotonis is that the thorax and abdomen has a broad, grey, dorsal stripe, which is often divided medially by a narrow brown line. The difference with Xylophanes kiefferi is the olive-green upperside of the body. The forewing upperside ground colour is olive-green and the forewing underside is orange.

Adults are probably on wing year round.

The larvae probably feed on Psychotria panamensis, Psychotria nervosa and Pavonia guanacastensis.
