Course description: Survey of world cultures, primarily non-literate, using various anthropological approaches; development from simple to more complex cultural systems.
Assignment: Students will work in pairs to identify a content gap in a Wikipedia page about a non-western society or culture. Each pair with conduct research and write a contribution on missing information. This is their culminating research project.

Remember, you should have completed preliminary research on your topic at this point. You should already have an idea of what authoritative sources exist for your topic.
Everyone has begun researching and writing their article drafts.

Your draft and a list of questions and challenges to be discussed in your conference should be posted to your Sandbox by this date.
Consider suggestions from professor and from your editing partner, decide whether it makes your work more accurate and complete, and edit your draft to make those changes.

Now that you've improved your draft based on others' feedback, it's time to move your work live - to the "mainspace."

Continue to expand and improve your work, and format your article to match Wikipedia's tone and standards. Remember to contact your Wikipedia Expert at any time if you need further help!
Now's the time to revisit your text and refine your work. You may do more research and find missing information; rewrite the lead section to represent all major points; reorganize the text to communicate the information better; or add images and other media.
It's the final week to develop your article.
Everyone should have finished all of the work they'll do on Wikipedia, and be ready for grading.
