vte This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Oregon. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add ((Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName)) to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding ((subst:delsort|Oregon|~~~~)) to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- Note that there are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove links to other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Oregon.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to US.
Archived discussions (starting from September 2007) may be found at:

Wining just the AVN award still doesn’t mean his notable. Subject still fails WP:GNG. Can’t find any news about him on Google. Maybe that was why no other references were made to the article than the current of which they are three but still doesn’t meet WP:GNG. Meligirl5 (talk) 19:38, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. Passes WP:Author. Xxanthippe (talk) 02:32, 28 April 2024 (UTC).[reply]
- how so? Psychastes (talk) 05:17, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- However BLP is bloated and needs pruning to 20% of current. Xxanthippe (talk) 22:59, 28 April 2024 (UTC).[reply]
- Weak delete unless someone provides more RSes - the existence of Steven Bartlett (businessman) makes searching for sources quite annoying, but I managed to find a few. Here is an extended discussion of his book The Pathology of Man: A Study of Human Evil but I'm not sure about the journal or if the reviewer is an independent source. Other sources I found are briefer mentions, e.g. [1][2], or I don't have access (also unsure about the journal here) [3]. Shapeyness (talk) 11:17, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak Keep -- slightly over the notability level for WP:AUTHOR and right at the edge for WP:PROF, based on citations, appointments, and reviews. I actually disagree with Xxanthippe though on the pruning part. If the subject is notable then the information there is the type of thing someone looking up information about the subject (biography, etc.) would like to know. But that's for post AfD discussion. -- Michael Scott Asato Cuthbert (talk) 20:26, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Passes WP:Author and passes WP:Prof, meets criteria 1,2. Like [4] respectfully disagree with Xxanthippe re the pruning part since biographers find this category of information important.

Does not meet WP:GNG or WP:NORG. All sources provided in article are either linked to the subject (1, 5-9) or passing mentions (2-4).
User is likely COI, created a similar article in draftspace at Draft:Independent Investment Advisors which was rejected three times before they ultimately created a mainspace article directly by moving from userspace. Triptothecottage (talk) 06:35, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewed during NPP. No indication of wp:notability under GNG or SNG. A "lifestyle center"/ small mall with 30 stores. Of the two references, one is a database type listing and the other is about a nearby trail and does not even mention it.

- Delete This is a very generic shopping center with no outstanding anchor outside AMC. Nate • (chatter) 16:07, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- I agree that the mall is not notable. I find a redirect to be a good alternative to deletion, particularly since the mall is already mentioned in the proposed target article (Beaverton, Oregon#Shopping). Cunard (talk) 09:33, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
