Description[edit]

This proposal will be dedicated to the topic Satanism. I am not at all fond of this topic, but there is a significant amount of articles involving Satanism worthy of having a WikiProject dedicated to Satanism. Jerm (talk) 22:15, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MikoMek, thanks for your interest, right now though, the WikiProject hasn't been approved yet due to the lack of support. However, that doesn't mean you can't contribute to existing pages or create new ones related to this topic. If you need help what I just mentioned, I recommend asking questions at the WP:TEAHOUSE for additional/better help; and on here, insert "Support" under the "Support" in the section above. Jerium Eh, enthusiasm is nice, but you certainly did a sufficient job with explaining the extensive scope of the topic. If that’s not the very purpose of creating a Wikiproject then I don’t know what is.
I think the issue here is societal attitudes still serve as a barrier between the true theory of Satanism and its perceived method of practice by uninformed individuals.
Most people do not even know that contemporary Satanist religions are largely atheist. Then there are those that do not even understand how someone can be religious and atheist at the same time because they think atheism is something other than the non-belief in a deity.

The purpose of a WikiProject is to have a place for a group of editors to coordinate their work. So far, no such group has been proven to exist. We could create the pages (again), but it does not appear that it would actually result in a group of editors working together. WhatamIdoing (talk) 03:15, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
