Scope
Articles pertaining to the art of ballet, ballet dancers and choreographers, ballets, pointe, costume designers for ballets, composers, and anything else that is related to the dance form.
Please always remember to cite your sources (look here for collective resources) and, if working on a biography of a living person, adhere to those guidelines.
When referring to the French name for a term, please check your spelling (hopefully Glossary of ballet is correct) and put it in italics.

Claudeconyers (talk·contribs) -- Former ballet dancer and long-time dance historian as well as publisher and editor of reference books, including International Encyclopedia of Dance, 6 vols. (Oxford University Press, 1998). Contributor to numerous reference works on dance and musical theater. Access to extensive home library of reference materials.
scillystuff (talk·contribs). Fan and frequent visitor to the Royal Ballet in London, adding to information on the cast (pictures, repertory and biographies).
Wallie (talk·contribs) - Interested in all forms of classical ballet, particularly in the 1950s period in the USSR. Big fan of Ulanova, Plisetskaya, Fonteyn, Minkus, La Bayadere, Swan Lake.
Sophoife (talk·contribs) Forty-plus years of ballet watching, first in London, now in Australia. Try to see all casts for each programme as then can make a comprehensive assessment. Learned for 12 years but that's as far as I go.

Symphony in C (talk·contribs) I have danced for many years and studied all aspects of ballet in depth, particularly ballet history and terminology (including differences in usage between the teaching methods/styles), as well as having fairly extensive knowledge about specific dancers both past and present. I am not on Wikipedia very often but I will contribute when I can, as I think it's a great way to combine my passions for dance and for research/writing, while benefiting the greater dance community!
