A note about our inclusion: an animal does not have to be anthropomorphic to be included. It can be parahuman like Daughter of Smoke and Bone (some characters have animal and human attributes), fully anthropomorphic like Kaze, Ghost Warrior (Kaze and the others walk on their hind legs, talk, wear clothes, and handle tools like people, but retain their animal shape), somewhat anthropomorphic like Warriors (novel series) (the cats talk and have a complex hierarchy, but don't act like humans or understand them), minorly anthropomorphic like The Call of the Wild (Buck doesn't talk or act like a human, but he has human thoughts), or not anthropomorphic at all like Toto in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (Toto acts exactly like a dog).
The main goal of WikiProject Animals in media is to improve articles that either feature animals or have animals at its heart. Various sub-goals are on the to-do list.
Article requests :Dust City, Dunecat, Robin Hood (fox), Animal 24/7, Boo the Caribou, The Tao of Pug, The Tawny Scrawny Lion, The Ugly Pugling, The Wolves of Time series, Wolves of the Beyond

Brambleberry of RiverClan (I read much animal literature, and Disney movies featuring animals, such as Bambi or The Lion King. I also had the idea for this to be animal literature only, but others inspired me to make it all media.) 15:02, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

SMcCandlish ☺☏¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ – I have some interest in actual animals that are notable (e.g. film/TV animals); animal (as well as human) albinism in popular culture; characterization of domestic animal breeds' traits in the media; and CGI reconstruction of extinct fauna (e.g. the Walking with Dinosaurs franchise and similar works); also collectibles (coins, stamps, etc.) featuring animals, to the extent a few of them are notable.
Jak474 (I have all the "Warriors" books from "The New Prophecy" to "Omen of the Stars". I also have the first 6 "Seekers" books, and the first three "Survivors" books.
