Suspected sockpuppets
Technical Evidence:
- The Wikigirl33 account is both stale, dormant and probably a throw-away account. It was added only for record-keeping purposes.
- 207.29.40.2 and 24.193.146.146 appear to be relatively static IP addresses. The 166.137.xxx range of mobile smartphone IPs are dynamic.
- All edits originate from a geolocation of New York (near the PA border).
- 207.29.40.2 - Self-confirmed as TruthfulPerson with this edit and this edit.
- 24.193.146.146 - Self-confirmed as TruthfulPerson with this edit.
- Many of the above accounts can be seen creating and making edits to the Gerald Schweighart article: 207.xxx; 166.137.xxx; TruthfulPerson

- Clerk declined - We don't generally reveal IPs with CU for privacy reasons. As the account is stale, there is nothing CU could do. NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 00:26, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- The account was last used September 17, 2010 -- less than 2 weeks ago. I do not understand how that could be stale. Is it possible you are mistaken? Xenophrenic (talk) 01:14, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- The user listed as a sock is, as you stated, stale. This user hasn't been account socking, so I don't see a need for a sleeper check. It is generally against policy for CUs to connect IPs to accounts. NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 01:18, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Clerk endorsed - Check NeutralityPersonified and see if you can find sleepers, and check for a connection with TruthfulPerson. Pay more attention to device used than IP, as I think he's using mobile devices. NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 22:08, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Check in progress. Hersfold (t/a/c) 22:20, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Data for TruthfulPerson and NeutralityPersonified is Inconclusive; at best it's Unlikely. They're editing from different devices in different geographic locations, although those locations aren't very far apart.
- Sleeper check is also Inconclusive; there are one or two that could possibly be sleepers, but they also share useragents with other unrelated, established users. This particular device doesn't have a whole lot of variance between useragents, so false positives are common. This is also a ridiculously large range (/9 was the narrowest WHOIS would give me) so there could be a horde of sleepers I'm not seeing. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Hersfold (t/a/c) 22:29, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Good lord. Behavior alone I guess. NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 22:53, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- It is interesting, the similarities in the user's choice and style of naming for the "TruthfulPerson" and "NeutralityPersonified" accounts.--AzureCitizen (talk) 22:57, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Clerk note: I haven't looked into weather the IPs need blocking, but per the above, we bowl 166.137.136.0/22 and hit most of the pins. -- DQ (t) (e) 12:23, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Clerk note: This case has sat idle for ten days. Most of the IPs listed haven't really done any significant editing. And if we blocked 166.137.136.0/22, we'd be knocking out some decent edits. I'm going to close this case, as I'm not sure there's much else that can be done. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 02:38, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Combining to skirt WP:3RR on Elizabeth Warren (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views):
I believe the behavioral evidence is strong here; strong enough that I'll probably act on it one way or the other. I'm requesting a checkuser for two reasons; one is to help confirm a technical link if one exists, and the other is that I suspect there are likely other active or sleeper accounts linked to these, based on recent editing at Elizabeth Warren, and would like to look at that as well. - NeutralityPersonified is a Confirmed sock of TruthfulPerson. WilliamH (talk) 15:43, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for the speedy response. Given the obvious bad faith in using these accounts to evade 3RR, and the tendentious and agenda-driven nature of their editing, I've blocked both accounts indefinitely. Thanks for reinforcing rule #3 :P MastCell Talk 16:57, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
