ROBINDONALD[edit]

There's a devoted spammer who has been using Wikipedia as a soapbox at least since the year 2005. He always registers a disposable account and uses it to post horrible, all-caps, poorly formatted preaching/crackpottery page. So far, I have discovered and blocked the above accounts and IP addresses (by searching for strings such as "COME, LORD JESUS", "MY DEAR AMERICAN PEOPLE", or "ROBIN DONALD"), and deleted the user and/or user talk pages created by him; see their deleted history. I am making this request to discover possible other accounts or IP addresses (and to block them if they are also open proxies). - Mike Rosoft 17:58, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk assistance requested: Would a clerk please look through these and see if any have contributions within the last month; the first I looked at had 0 contribs, and the second was from 2004. If there isn't anything within the last month, then there won't be records to check. Essjay (Talk) 08:58, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk note: See the talk page for requested list. Daniel.Bryant 09:44, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

information Note: I've checked for sleepers based on the one account that has recent contributions, and can find none. I've blocked both IPs for a month, hopefully that will hold him off. All the others either have no contributions, or have not contributed recently enough for there to be IP records available. Essjay (Talk) 09:57, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that I had already deleted the spam pages they created. I'll check the deleted history, and write down when they were edited. - Mike Rosoft 12:24, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In order for us to be able to decide whether a check is in order, we have to be able to see the user's contribs. Further, if we can't see thier contribs, we don't know if they are recent enough to check, and that causes us to do a lot of needless checking to find the ones that actually have contributions. While I recognize that you've already deleted the pages, it's important for us to be able to see the evidence before we undertake an investigation. There's no need to undelete pages, but it would be helpful for you to go through and pull the ones that have recent deleted edits. Thanks, Essjay (Talk) 12:54, 19 January 2007 (UTC) (Copied from User talk:Daniel.Bryant)[reply]

 Clerk note: Re-referred to Essjay. Daniel.Bryant 12:45, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The above looks good, I'll look into it and post what I find later. Essjay (Talk) 13:02, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

information Note: The only two IPs I see are 219.94.78.186, and 60.49.33.201, and there are no sleepers on either. Essjay (Talk) 06:48, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
