Kober 2

Comment: User Kober is one of the few Georgian wikipedians that is something he used to complain about himself, and there is a high chance he might be creating other Georgian sockpuppets to syntetically create larger Georgian POV push in wikipedia. There is a suspicion that account of Gegelia is one of the possible socks that he owns. He was quick to come to help in edit warring on article on Javakheti : http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Javakheti&diff=182939646&oldid=182832685 - change by Gegelia, and when it was reverted - sooner after that : http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Javakheti&diff=182955437&oldid=182946360 - change by Kober, now under different pretence. Also would love to check if he might have other sockpuppets that he is making edits with. Thanks. Steelmate (talk) 19:58, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice try. But I don't think that your attempt at counter-offensive will be of much help here. I have written up to 600 articles for Wikipedia, and still have pretty much to do. So, in sharp contrast to you, I don't need any socks to do what I deem necessary to help the project. --KoberTalk 20:51, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Btw, I don't remember to have ever complained about being "one of the few Georgian wikipedians", at least after the Steelmate account appeared here. Interesting, is not it? --KoberTalk 20:51, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, I don't mind being cu checked against any user any time - in sharp contrast to you. Interesting isn't it? Also I believe half of the 600 articles you created are cu checks against other users... even more interesting fact about what you spend your time on Wikipedia for. Steelmate (talk) 21:58, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Could you please explain what this ingenious phrase means: "Also I believe half of the 600 articles you created are cu checks against other users"? Thanks in advance, --KoberTalk 08:07, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, specifically for ingenious users like you, in simple english, it means you like to do cu checks against other users way too much. Steelmate (talk) 15:04, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And you, in your ingenuity, believe that a CU can be considered a Wikipedia article and I have requested 300 CUs, right? --KoberTalk 15:42, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, I believe that you believe, in your ingenuity, that a CU can be considered a Wikipedia article. Steelmate (talk) 16:35, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Loool... You seem to be in trouble. "Also I believe half of the 600 articles you created are cu checks against other users" - these are your words, not mine. And please note that Wikipedia is supposed to be an encyclopedia, not a kindergarten. I'm not going to follow you further into this puerile dialogue. Bye, --KoberTalk 16:52, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wow! You are really a very ingenuious user. Keep up that way. Just a small notice, the "600 articles" - is something that you said and I referred to whatever you said : "Also I believe half of the "600 articles" you created are cu checks against other users". Steelmate (talk) 16:59, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I originally filed this request on behalf of user:Steelmate. What I can add is around one of the times that I was having a content dispute with user:Kober at 2007 Georgian demonstrations, an IP user referring to himself as Gegi vandalized my userspace[1]. Gegi is short for Gegelia in Georgian. Kober doesn't deny that he follows my contributions[2] so he would have probably been aware of the vandalism so it's likely that either user:Kober and user:Gegelia are the same person and Kober used an IP address on my user space due to things get hot in the article or alternatively Kober and Gegi are different people and Kober didn't admonish Gegi for vandalizing my userspace due to things getting hot in the article. Please check user:Gegelia vs the IP user:89.168.16.6 and user:Kober vs user:Gegelia.Pocopocopocopoco (talk) 23:46, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead, you can check any registered or non-registered account against me. It's so ridiculous to note how you're projecting anything you have been accused of onto me. The severest case of wikiparanoia, indeed! --KoberTalk 05:27, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't accuse you of anything. As long as you have people around like Papa Carlo below and acccording to Steelmate Gegelia as well who go around and tag-team your edits your going to get this type of scrutiny. At the very least this checkuser will determine if Gegelia was the IP that vandalised my user space. Pocopocopocopoco (talk) 14:04, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry. I also have people like you around who go around and try to seize any opportunity to discredit Georgian users and the country of their origin. Btw, it would be nice if you could notify the "suspected" users when you request a cu. It is a matter of etiquette, imo. --KoberTalk 15:42, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately Georgia country and Georgian users have discredited themself well enough so no others help is required. "People like us" - are just trying to prevent those users to hide misdeeds of Georgia country under the cover of sweet Georgian POV in Wikipedia. And by the way you didn't notify me when filing cu check on me... that is speaking how widely double standards are used among Georgian users. Steelmate (talk) 16:47, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would advice you to refrain from xenophobic remarks, but I don't entertain any hope that you will ever learn what Wikipedia is for. You had already been there in the list and also active on that talk page. There was no need to notify you. --KoberTalk 16:54, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That is not an excuse, as same can be applied to you as you are constantly watching contributions of me and Pocopocopocopoco, there was no need to notify you as well. Yes, you are right I possibly will never learn that Wikipedia is yet another resource to say good things about georgian warm hospitality. But don't lose your hope yet as everything is subject to change. Steelmate (talk) 17:07, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't going to bother, but since Kober was happy to be checked, Red X Unrelated. He's clean. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 01:01, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does the IP match Gegelia? Pocopocopocopoco (talk) 01:07, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah it does. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 01:10, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kober[edit]

Comment: Papa Carlo started using wikipedia in Feb. 2006 and claimed to be a new user. [3] He was able to get the automatic signing down pat with his first edit to a talk page which is quite an accomplishment for a new user.[4]. Papa Carlo and Kobers editing style and writing style is extremely similar. They frequently leave out the "the" in front of political entities. For example here Papa Carlo calls it "Democratic Republic of Georgia" rather than "The Democratic Republic of Georgia". Over here Kober writes "Count Paskevich-Erivansky" instead of "the Count Paskevich-Erivansky". Papa Carlo occasionally does operate on his own (perhaps to throw people off) but many times he will tag team with Kober when Kober is coming close to the 3RR restriction, example:
07:28, 8 September 2007 Kober reverts back in questionable sentence
06:24, 9 September 2007 Papa Carlo reverts back in weasel word "allegedly"
06:55, 9 September 2007 Kober reverts back in weasel word "allegedly"
06:55, 9 September 2007 Kober reverts back in weasel word "allegedly"

Another example where Papa Carlo showed up after weeks of inactivity:

05:00, 25 November 2007 Kober reverts back in "Russian-backed"
18:27, 25 November 2007 Kober reverts back in "Russian-backed"
03:42, 26 November 2007 Papa Carlo reverts back in "Russian-backed"

Papa Carlo can will also show up when Kober is loosing a debate on a talk page, giving the impression that there other people other than himself supports that position, example:

Papa Carlo shows up to the debate to support Kober after the other side is able to provide reliable sources to support their position and Kober hasn't offered any.

Thanks, Pocopocopocopoco (talk) 03:37, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Although Pocopocopocopoco’s accusations and assumptions are blatantly false and I presume his move is an attempt to get rid of the opponent and the only active contributor to the Georgia-related articles, I pledge my full support to his request. Please check my account.
At the same time, I would ask the admin involved in this case to have a look at this: Pocopocopocopoco aroused a suspicion of sockpuppetry on the very first day of his appearance on Wikipedia. Furthermore, he seems to have hijacked the username of another Wikipedian, User:Pocopoco. KoberTalk 16:03, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, look at all the work Poco has done! But seriously, it just looks to me as a feeble attempt to get rid of the opponent through false accusations. Pocopocopocopoco (together with a couple of other users) consistently tries to insert pro-Russian anti-Georgian POV in all Georgia related articles and engages in edit warring. The examples he listed are actually good illustration of that. Kober being by far the most prolific author on Georgia-related articles is naturally his main obstacle. Good luck next time Poco. BTW, why didn't you list all other non-native speakers that skip the definite article as suspects?(PaC (talk) 18:09, 27 November 2007 (UTC))[reply]
Funny that you should mention PaC, I thought about inserting user:Ldingley and user:NokhchiBorz (his sockpuppet) in the above checkuser. Despite claiming to be a Scottish-Canadian Ph.D. student he would also miss the 'The'. I didn't bother because I thought it would be stale data.
