Gretaw[edit]

An anon editor is subject to an arbcom temporary injunction. She claims not have registered as Gretaw but several editors find Gretaw's edits surprising if not made by that user - they make little sense if from another person despite her denials. Comment: The situation underlying this request has been a source of exasperation to a good group of editors on the Australia pages for several months, culminating in the pending arbitration case and the temporary injunction that took effect today. Although the guidelines above indicate that this request technically should have been made on the arbitration page rather than here, I strongly urge that the request be fulfilled promptly. The Gundagai editor claims not to be one and the same person. [1] If not the same person, I, and probably others, would take a different approach to welcoming her and to enforcing WP:NPA. If she is the same person then she has registered and Gretaw is the one account to apply for the purposes of enforcing the injunction. (Reposting same message left at Golden Wattle's talk page). I think the issue here is identification. Whilst the ArbCom has not required the anon to inform them of any account the anon may have registered (which may very well be requested, but hasn't yet to my knowledge), it'd be handy for editors to know who they're dealing with so that any ArbCom sanctions or recommendations that may apply in future are enforceable. -- Longhair\talk 22:32, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As another administrator involved in the arbitration case, I fully support this request. The productive Australian contributors have endured steady abuse from the problem editor for several months.
