Greier[edit]

Possible/ Likely - Same city, same ISP, but different range. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 01:53, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note: the account Greier is stale by now, but his static IP was 86.124.112.36.

Greier has been banned since December 2006. Rezistenta (originally Adrianzax) was created in November 2007. Both users edit the exact same topics: Origin of the Romanians ([1], [2]), Romania in the Middle Ages ([3], [4]), Aromanians ([5], [6]), Battle of Baia ([7], [8]), etc. Both users have the same POV and use very similar edit summaries ([9], [10]) and rude comments ([11], [12]). Because of this I therefore believe that Greier and Rezistenta are undoubtedly the same person. Khoikhoi 00:54, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Per the result above, I have indef. blocked Greier's sockpuppet and left a note on his talk page. Khoikhoi 02:53, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I unblocked him. Using the same ISP (which happens to be the largest ISP in Bucharest) is not a proof they are the same person. I know both of their styles and they don't match at all. bogdan (talk) 10:07, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Greier[edit]

User:Greier is a well known sockpuppeter, only recently another of his sockpuppets was exposed under user:Mursili. I tried to enforce WP:BAN by reverting Mursili's edits in wikipedia, including this one [14]. I started suspecting User:Iblardi, he would insist on restoring the banned user's edits, despite all explanation I gave about enforcing wp:banpol [15]. As soon as I declared my suspicion, the user tried to remove the discussion from the talk page, allegedly because he wanted to hide his identity [16]. Note also that he wouldn't contact me in my Talk:Page, but in another personal hidden page [17]. Little by little, persistence was turned into obsession [18], and his edit-warring over an edit made by a banned user is still going on [19]. The IP I listed above is possibly a proxy server, since the user has a history of using them [20]. Despite his allegations of trying to hide his IP (and only make edits as an anon by accident), he has an extensive edit history with it [21]. I've dealt Greier's sockpuppet User:Mursili in the past, and by personal experience I'm almost certain that this is another of his sockpuppets. He uses the same expressions, makes the same mistakes in the english language, has the same persistence, argumentation, interests and editing practices. Miskin 15:30, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greier[edit]

Greier, who has some weird obsession of adding ((historomania)) to the Vlachs article, is currently blocked for 3RR because of that. Today, Vlachul, with only 2 edits, comes out of nowhere and adds the tepmlate back, the exact same behavior as Greier. Looks like a clear case of block evasion to me. —Khoikhoi 18:01, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also note here and here he comes to the page and reverts back to Greier's version. Or here where he edits G's userpage. —Khoikhoi 18:04, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Also perhaps the banned User:Bonaparte might be involved. He too has an interest in pushing the Romanian POV above all others and follows Greier from page to page. —Khoikhoi 18:10, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For proof of the above statement, check the anon (open proxy) IPs which reverted to Greiers version at Vlachs of Serbia - they were sockpuppets of Bonaparte (he was permabanned for using open proxies). --Telex 18:41, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Likely. Will have to check with Jayjg about a connection to Bonaparte. Essjay (TalkConnect) 01:04, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
