GoodCop[edit]

s

User:GoodCop was blocked for legal threats and incivility (see here and here).

User:HalfOfElement29 was recently blocked as a sockpuppet of GoodCop (see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Block-evading_sockpuppet?).

Snowpapa and Rwqf have posted to Talk:Atlantis#Request_for_comment:_Content_deleted_by_User:Akhilleus.7CAkhilleus, an RfC started by HalfOfElement29. Both accounts seem like throwaways to me, but Bucketsofg, the admin who blocked HalfOfElement29, suggested I file an RFCU.--Akhilleus (talk) 05:54, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: GoodCop's last edit with that account was over two months ago, so does anyone know what IP(s) he used? Scobell302 06:20, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't see any obvious signs of his IP, and the edits might be too old; but that does seem to be the original account, which is why I listed it under that name. --Akhilleus (talk) 06:25, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Inconclusive And all 64 analyzed. Sheesh. OK, here's the deal. The most I can say is that we're dealing with Frequent Flyer Open Proxy Users. They've got lots of company. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 04:57, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Comment. Ugh. Well, thank you for checking all of that, and I'm sure blocking the proxies is a good thing. Do you have any suggestions on further action to pursue, especially with regard to Rwqf's uncivil contribution to the RfC at Talk:Atlantis? --Akhilleus (talk) 05:48, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe I'm thick skinned, but I can't even see what's uncivil about the posting. Anyway, all I can say from the checkuser POV is that all these accounts use proxies, and some use the same proxies; you'll have to determine from the content of their edits if they're socks. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 23:59, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
