Portal:Coumarin[edit]

Pretty useless portal on a specialised chemistry topic. It consists of the lead from the main article, a template found in that article and a randomly selected article from that template. As such it doesn't add anything over the main article and it the topic certainly won't be of interest to a general audience. The category is redlinked (it should be Category:Coumarins) and the images section is just a script error. Hut 8.5 12:21, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Delete creating thousands of portals is fun. [1] Part of a race against time. Who cares who will fix them or maintain them? Even as they are beig deleted a few at a time there is limited effort to clean up the errors or and no pruning by the person who quadrupled the number of portals. Delete. I would say merge-and-redirect, e.g. to Portal:Chemistry or something more specific, but that's a portal with tens of thousands of potential topics. A thick knot of coumarin-related content would be an undue focus even as a section. Nor is anyone ever likely to expect a portal on coumarin in particular, so a redir would not be useful despite being "cheap". — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 20:11, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. There is a category, at Category:Coumarins and it does contain well over 20 articles, although a random selection suggests many are stubs; however, I believe this is too narrow a topic, which is unlikely to have sufficient reader interest. Portal has a Lua error because of lack of selected images. Main topic has an orange-level tag. Espresso Addict (talk) 23:50, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
