The Wikipedia Kolkata meetup is a regular get-together of wikipedians (contributors and users) to meet up, discuss, share experiences, reach out and advocate for wikipedia and wikimedia.
The meetups are intended to be structured as follows —Introductions, a few focused talks by Wikipedians to share experience / expertise followed by demos and open discussions on topics of common interest.

Anyone interested in Wikipedia (user, contributor or curious about it). Wikipedians from any part of India or the world and anyone who is interested in Wikipedia! Meetup is open to members of all Wikimedia projects and Wikipedians from all languages. All are welcome, and we are especially interested in seeing newcomers to join the experienced Wikipedians/Wikimedians. If you are interested in coming, please add your name below.
From Air Port,(It is suggested for who is new in kolkata take prepaid Taxi, Book for Bhawanipur College Elgin Road ) come straight through VIP Road and EM bye Pass. When Science City Crossing Comes you take right towards Park Circus 5 Point. After Park Circus 5 Point take AJC Bose fly Over Road towords Vidhyasagar Setu,but dont take the fly over, you should go through straight below the bridge towards Minto Park. From Minto Park take left for Sarat Bose Raod and you see first crossing take right for Elgin Road.

Great to see this very welcome event.. For the last few years I have been seeing only the Bangladesh chapter active and really wondered if only they cared for their mother tongue or their wikipedia... So here we are- no longer at the back.. I am proud of you guys.. Keep up the good work. I am in the US and in the middle of a professional rush hour.. But I would be very eager to know how it goes..
