Publicity
Some publicity is required at least:
notify Adelaide Wikipedians via Talk Pages.
Solicit invitations of geographically local Wikipedia users.
Use other mediums outside of Wikipedia to advertise to non-Wikipedia users; like classifieds advertising and word of mouth.
I think we 'advise' of the meeting in that order, don't think numbers should be too much of a issue given the audience. I'm just checking over the users on the list (removing the socks) and have noticed several have openly stated themselves to be minors; not only does this raise issues vis-á-vis our child protection policy, it also gives rise to the question of inviting minors to this event. Our friends in the West have already had a discussion regarding this, and resolved that minors may only attend if accompanied by a legal guardian. I thought a WikiCensus of Wikipedians present might be fun as an icebreaker (and provide some insights into ourselves). I'll bring some sheets with questions and squares to collect dots on them and provide 10 sticky dots per person to put against alternatives (I recall the Australian Democrats doing this at the Royal Adelaide Show some time ago, it's quick, anonymous and collates the results instantly). Some questions I've thought of are
