no source, possible forgery

Delete. No source is given, and others have questioned if this is a forgery.

The original Internet source of this image is iranian.com, 15 May 2006.

However, there is no source given there or here. There are quite a few problems with the picture provided.

  1. The "world's first nuclear-generated electricity" was in 1951. So the "30-year safety record" really begins then, not with the founding of the AEC in 1946. The Shah left Iran in January 1979. 1951 + 30 = 1981.
  2. I can't find anything on a "vote" for "Pilgrim II", "Pilgrim Unit 2", "Pilgrim 2" and reading the history, it doesn't seem any vote was required. A phone survey or newspaper survey was done, perhaps, but there is no record of a vote.
  3. The "New England Gas and Electric Companies" text in bottom right hand corner - the only place this phrase appears (search with quotes) is in reference to this image. It should be "Associates" at the end not "Companies".

The "building two nuclear plants and planning two" dates it (earliest) at November 1974 (Bushehr agreement with Kraftwerk Union) whereas the iranian.com uploader wrote "early 70's".

See Discussion from 2007

"Way to go, submitting news that is at least 20 years old and probably fake. The 30 year safety record could only have come in 1984, which was 5 years after the Shah of Iran was exiled. However, Massachusetts built their third power plant, Yankee Rowe Nuclear Power Station in 1954."

From submitter, 2007:

a friend of mine sent me that particular picture and I believe it was part of an advertising campaign in the early 70's. There is some small print at the bottom that could shine some light on this subject. Cancerward (talk) 05:35, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Specific portion of song Rock 'n' Roll Train not proven contextually significant to the whole song, AC/DC article, and Black Ice (album) as a whole. Readers reading the album would already know about the the album's musical style, and I'm unconvinced whether the sample is necessary there. Same for other articles, including the song article. Unsure why "guitar riffs and elemental drum beats" and "backing vocal harmony" is perceived as inadequately without the sample. Furthermore, readers reading the band article would already know AC/DC as a rock bank, and I don't think the song portion would make any difference to them. But I can stand corrected. Sample de-PRODded under assumption that the article has enough critical commentary to justify its inclusion. This is of the chorus/refrain. I added two other samples: an instrumental guitar riff I uploaded in MP3 format, and the first verse I moved from the AC/DC article. Either the chorus/refrain portion is supported by critical commentary, or it doesn't. Furthermore, the portion may be easily conveyed in text. George Ho (talk) 21:11, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I moved the sample of the first verse from the AC/DC article to Back in Black (song), thinking that the band article can already convey info about the band itself without the samples. I also thought the song article already summarizes what the lyrics are about. However, I'm torn, but I have no objections to deleting the "first verse" portion. Just now, I uploaded the opening guitar riff portion in MP3 format (which I've not yet nominated), thinking that it's necessary to convey what its guitar riff sounds like without the lyrics around. Recently removed the sample from the album article The Sonny Side of Cher. I still don't think the portion heard in the sample is contextually significant to Where Do You Go (Cher song) as a whole or the whole album, even when trimmed. George Ho (talk) 23:20, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
