- File:Kyle Rittenhouse Kenosha shooting.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Zeddawg (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
Use appears to violate copyright/non-free use rationale allowances. Non-free use allows transformative uses of what appears to be a copywritten news image. Our use here [1] is effectively as an illustration for a story about the event and thus not transformative. Springee (talk) 03:12, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep The file is used in the infobox about the shooting and there is critical commentary to pass WP:NFCC. Aspects (talk) 22:49, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- What critical commentary about the picture? Use in an article about the shooting doesn't apear to transform the work. It's also not commentary about the picture rather it's about the event. It is an appropriate picture for the article but I'm not convinced that gets its around copyright via fair use. Springee (talk) 23:22, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- A picture doesn't need to "transform the work". Illustrating Rittenhouse as he was at the event is significant enough. You can certainly add to the FUR if you wish. Buffs (talk) 16:52, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- So long as it's not a copyright problem I think the picture is appropriate for the article and should stay. My concern relates only to fair use which others are saying isn't a problem. Springee (talk) 18:32, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Well known photo and strongly associated with the shooting and the perpetrator. It is worth noting that deleting this photo will result in the only picture of the perpetrator being one where he is addressing a sympathetic crowd while wearing a nice suit. - Delete - I removed an "empty file" CSD tag because the SVG was not empty. However, this doesn't seem like it belongs in Wikipedia because it looks out of scope like Minorax said. weeklyd3 (block | talk | contributions) 03:58, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
